Berries...

I took this photo of a winterberry I just recently purchased and is now residing on my coffee table. It reminded me instantly of Christmas with the glossy burgundy/green leaves and the glossy red berries. I had never heard of winterberry plants and, after some research, I'm happy that I'll be able to plant it in the garden next spring...and next year it will bear the fruit outside under the dull November skies and brighten my autumn.

I take a lot of photos with berries in them. Actually, I have a lot of berry type plants in my garden. There's something perfect about the shape of berries. Circles are complete within themselves. They are intact and have no beginning and no end. Circles of life...
