It's the time of year when the subject of resolutions come up frequently in conversations. There are the typical ones - losing weight, eating healthier, working less hours, spending more time with family, getting more exercise. Some are simple to implement, some more difficult. All are wrapped in good intentions.I don't make New Year resolutions. I don't even make a resolution not to make resolutions. Nope. I just don't bother with the whole concept because the best time to resolve a situation, an unwanted habit or a way of being in the world, is when the time is right and that sort of timing is not governed by a calendar. It's governed by heart and soul and mind. When the trifecta happens, resolve simply is.

Well said. I wholeheartedly agree.
Thank you, Rick.
Happy New Year to you!
Girl, I don't make them either. (anymore.) And thanks for writing so eloquently for both of us on this, not that I could've. But you did. Beautifully.
P.S. Have I ever sent you a full one of my songs?
xoxo
Thanks, Jannie.
P.S. No, you never have, but I would love to hear a full one!
Last couple lines in the post? Damn. SO well said!
Hi, Sheila and thank you.
This is so beautiful, Talon. (Just going through your archives as a pleasant Saturday excursion into one of my favorite blogs... I don't even know if you will see that I was here, not sure how blogger does it!)
Thank you, Meredith. I get an email with any comment, no matter if the post is old or not, so it was a nice surprise to see you in the older posts :)
