(this is photo of a photograph as I didn't have a digital camera when we first brought Riley home. I was too busy to do a scan today. He's 8 weeks old in this shot.) to Riley. He turns 8 years old today. I still remember him as the adorable fluff muffin we picked up from the breeder. A recessive gene resulted in Riley being a long-hair purebred. A kinder, sweeter, more gentle giant you couldn't imagine. Riley is the personification of what a good dog should be - patient and kind with children and all sorts of pets. From minute one they met, he's been Charlie's kind and wise older brother. He's the one who keeps her in line and the one who lights up her life and ours.

I've only met one other in person. George was the gentlest dog I ever got to hang with, thru a next door friend decades ago. He loved hugs n was great company during my chores there.
If all dogs could only be this good (n pretty too)!

Snaggle Tooth - Riley got his favorite treats yesterday which are timbits (only a couple 'cause they are donuts) and some cheesies. He was a happy camper.
That little fluff muffin all growed up and very handsome at ... wait, what's 7 x 8? Umm, happy 54th, Riley.
