Wolf Moon

The full moon tonight is the Wolf Moon so named because the wolves would howl outside the villages in hunger as winter deepened. Not a pretty picture, really. But the moon is beautiful...no matter the name.

Moonlight...

Dreams on a full moon night
are clouded with stardust
undisturbed by hungry howls

I love the wolf!
I find that God doesn't create anything less than perfection.
There is beauty even in the most terrifying and savage images of the wild and untamed nature.
I love the wolf because deep in my genetic code and deep in my spirit I am the wolf.
But then again, I am just a weird guy with weird ideas.
Be loved!

Weird is good, Buddha. Yes, there is always bad in good and good in bad...the eternal scales of balance.

Ahh, what a great poem! Haiku maybe?

"Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon (or asked a grinning bobcat why it grins...?" From what animated movie, my dear?

Thanks, Jannie.

Pocahontas, of course!
