like this one (taken a few weeks ago on a particularly snowy day) will soon be done for this year. Oh, we're due for some more snow before the winter is over, but with an upswing in temperatures (we're heading to an expected high of 51F on Wednesday) the snow is rapidly shrinking. I can sort of see flower beds again and imagine it will only be a matter of a few months before the first signs of a new gardening year begin. The crocus and the fragrant white and pink hyacinth are under their winter blanket and I can't wait to see a return of colour to the world.

There'll be crocuses to bring to school tomorow... Just a little green... like the nights when the Northern Lights perform...
Do you know who wrote that lyric without Googling? I'll be awfully impressed if you do.

And hey - April 4th is MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Were you thinking of me even before you met me??
You're an Aries - very cool (I'm a Libra with an Aries rising).
And how could anyone not know Joni Mitchell's "Little Green"?? Joni and her fabulous ability to write music and lyrics that are simply and beautifully fine.
Beautiful scenes!
Thanks, Mia.
Ah-ha! Great crocus pic-
Guess we're all missing our plantling friends. After all this warmth I still have ice n snow in my yard n deck stuff (facing North).
We still have snow and ice all over the yard, though we managed to get the deck clear. Here and there are little areas that are clear and you get a peek at the flower beds again, but I have to say it's all very, very ugly!
Just a little green... you got it, Baby.
