March

is slipping in sweetly this early morning. The skies are clear and earlier this evening I had the pleasure of viewing the sweet slip of moon with Venus so bright and shiny perching nearby.

Thinking tonight of the old saying "in like a lamb, out like a lion" and hoping that it's not true this year. I found out that the origin of that old saying may have been written in the stars as the constellation Leo
is visible rising in the east in the night sky soon after sunset at the beginning of March while Aries slips down on the western horizon at the end of the month. Of course, it doesn't explain the whole vice-versa aspect of the saying, but that's the interesting thing about sayings - they get switched around to suit the situation.

Interesting about the constellations correlating with that saying.
I learned it "In like a Lion, out like a Lamb"! At any rate, the weather in March is never mundane, Especially in New England. Right now it's snowing to beat the band out there-

That's so funny, Snaggle Tooth. Here it's accepted that if it comes in like a lamb it will go out like lion and vice-versa. I guess we want to cover all the bases.

No snow here today, just plenty of sunshine and a nice high of 6 F with a nasty north wind. I hear you're getting bombed, so I hope you're doing okay.

Like Snaggle Tooth, I thought it was in like a lion, and it is indeed that in Virginia with 6 inches of snow on my deck and the wind blowing the new snow all around. It certainly goes out like a lamb, since my birthdday is at the end of March. Sayings, I guess we get to change them to fit our perceptions.

I wish I could concentrate on March lions and hares and such but I'm in a big funk because Kelly's beat me at Wii Golf AGAIN.

boo-hoo.

Laura, sorry you're getting more snow. We've got the freezing cold, but it's sunny. We've nearly gotten rid of all the snow now...but I doubt we're finished with winter just yet.

Jannie, doesn't Tiger Woods have a golf game on some game system? Maybe you could play with him before you tackle Kelly again on Wii :)

I'm going to bed now. (I think)

Not everyone can be great at everything...
Guess Kelly's got a gift with the game controller
