Impaled

A fatal wound. Regardless of intention, the end result was an un-pretty demise. Some argued the death had occurred long before the final jab, others argued that it wasn’t so—life had been there still. Hope kept many things alive that might have perished. What is life without hope? The question is rhetorical, of course.

The only one to know when death occurred was the dead one.

This picture makes my mind bring up all sorts of ideas and possibilities. Great photo.

Spiky stabby things are everywhere in life. Like you said, good thing there's hope!

Great b&w, great 55.

Oh no...reminded me that I still have a tiny cactus needle in my butt that I haven't gotten out yet! (You really need someone with a pair of tweezers to stand behind you...)

WHAT a picture! Just amazing, and a very intriguing 55 to go with it. Loved both, Talon.

I love the hawk in your header! I have seen two of them lately. One swooped in front of me, about 12 feet off the ground, and the other was enjoying his breakfast by the zoo parking lot early Saturday morning. I think he had caught a pigeon.

I am liking the B&W photos Talon. The words mesh well, as both them & the photo is stark. Is this some kind of reminder that summer is just about to hit its death knell?

I'm pretty sure I left a comment here, but I guess it's lost in cyberspace.
