Commencement

They went out on the porch to welcome the New Year, snowflakes pirouetting in the glow of the city lights below. A sudden gust sent the flakes into a whirlwind. The small evergreen near the steps they’d strung with teeny brass bells, shivered and jingled.

I don't know I expect it to be T shirt weather here in Detroit...well T shirt and bullet proof vests, they tend to celebrate in the traditional Arab way here...fire those guns into the air here.

Sweeeeet.

We were looking at close-ups of snowflakes on the Net a few days ago. They are absolutely amazing in design and can pirouette too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The first picture just took hold of me....I thought about it while walking in the warm rain today...then I saw a pink camellia in full bloom at the top of the hill

This can not be....I am thinking spring and I have left this moment in time....reading words I need to pull back and be here now

Thank you

Your words are almost as clear a picture of a subject as your photos always are. I can feel the flurries, though we had one of our oddball warm spells here--could have been spring, and almost 70 tomorrow. Happy New Year, Talon--thanks for brightening my life with your words and pics.

And your header is so beautiful, I really like how you change it often.

I wish for you much joy!

First, How do ducks keep from freezing their feet off in such frigid waters?
That's my first question. My second: How do you keep making such fine pics?
OK. I know the answer to the second question...talent. Happy New Year!
Ring those bells!
