Gnarly

The horoscope was not promising.  Mercury was retrograde. There would be dissention, destruction, and delays. People would be rude, obnoxious, and impatient.  Technology would misbehave.  There would be miscommunications and misunderstandings. He heaved a huge sigh of relief when he realized it wasn’t his horoscope then he winced when he realized it was his wife’s.

Karma is one of those, yes? This was delightful, Talon. And a wonderful photo on the header--(that second could almost fit my 55, too.)

Ha ha, love the twist too. I'm so pleased I don't believe in horoscopes otherwise I doubt I'd ever get out of bed.

That may be worse than it being his!
I've read a few 'scopes like that in the old days- They never seemed to apply to me tho! Mercury can do that, I hear...
I heard on the news that latest "Sun Flare blast" may do that to some folks- But at least you're getting a Northern lights extra show if the clouds move out!
It was foggy like that here the other night- thick. cool pic!

word Ver "hasile"

I'm glad horoscope is only for plain reading. It can be unsettling for some people though!

Oh, Talon, I love this! Just because it's not your horoscope, doesn't mean you'll escape unscathed, right?

Leenie said...

And that doesn't even take into account the solar storm, global warming and who you like in the debates! Keep your head down, Mr.

Best wishes for the weekend, Talon.

As a Gemini, ruled by Mercury, I tremble before such horrorscopes.

Oh, that was gnarly and with a surprise ending...and I love that word too. Just getting a feel for G-Man's Flash Fiction 55...my first try this week..and enjoying reading a few more. Loved this.

That was just wonderful and I loved the twist at the end :-)

I love the misty picture that accompanied it...there is something deamlike about mist...things dont seem quite so real somehow.

lol , Galen - yes, better batten down the hatches as they say :) Mind you, I don't follow horoscopes so I have no idea when these bad planetary line-ups are occuring so maybe I'd better really check it out - lol! Hope you feel 100 percent soon!

Dani, thank you! So wonderful to see you.

Teresa, glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!

Margaret, lol - yes. He's had fair warning :)

hedgewitch, karma is for sure. Thank you. I thought the same thing when I read your post and realized we were somewhat on the same wavelength. Neat, eh?

Brian, lol! Tons of bouquets :)

lol, Ann! :)

Hilary, thank you. Yes, it seems horroscope or not, it's sort of inevitable, isn't it? :)

Gracias, David. I hope your weekend was a wonderful one! Loved your kittens in the cup shot :)

Anthony, thank you!

Joey, I'm with you on that one. I would think reading such things might help them to acutally happen...which would be good on the good horoscopes, but horrible on these sorts - lol! :)

Lynn : )

J Cosmo, exactly :)

Snaggle, thanks. To see those lights would be magnificent. I've only seen them twice in my life. Yeah, horoscopes apply to millions and millions so I've never thought they had too much power in them. :)

Polly, glad you did :)

TALON said...

Walking Man, seems like you'll be safe :)

Raven, thanks.

Sara, thank you! Hope your weekend was a glorious one!

lol, Joy - I love your solution :)

Hank, so true!

Thank you, Linda. That's it exactly :)

Leenie, lol! I think this poor guy's goose is cooked :) And thank you. Hope your weekend was a wonderful one.

Patricia, glad I made you laugh :)

Sandy, lol! So glad you enjoyed it :)

ayala, thanks! :)

SKIZO, thank you!

lg, thank you. I love that you love visiting here! And I loved your river shots - they were magnificent!

izzy, me either :)

Thank you, Steve.

Glad you liked it, Jinksy! :)

Jannie, totally made up -- thank heavens! or is that thank my lucky stars? :) xx

Christine, thanks!

Margie, glad you enjoyed it! I hope you are having a beautiful time with baby Rose and that you don't have to climb off Cloud 9 for a very very long time :)

Sam, thank you!

Shay, it's a good thing I don't write them, isn't it? But I could write you a super awesome one :)

Bodhirose, nice to meet you and look forward to seeing you on Friday. :)

David, gracias. I've been super busy, but I'm slowly catching up on blogs and loving your photographs with your perfect captions :)

Carol, thank you! I feel the same about the fog - it takes the ordinary and twists it into extraordinary, doesn't it? I've been so loving all your artwork - you're so very talented!
