“He’s coming out.”
“Where?”
“Over there. See? And look! There’s definitely a shadow.”
“Is that good or bad?”
“I can never remember. The thing is, he’s not looking at his
shadow. What does it mean if doesn't see it?”
“What the heck is he looking at then?”
“He’s looking at us looking at him.”

lol...you gotta wonder when you walk out your door and all these people are staring at you...
So did he see his shadow or not?? He didn't here but the word is he did in PA so I guess that's the one that matters. Very good 55, btw. Here's looking at you!
If the Groundhog is blind, will we STILL have 6 more weeks of Winter?
Loved your old barn pic.
The black and white is PERFECT!
Loved your 55 Talon
Thanks for playing, thanks for your support, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
I've never quite grasped the full science of groundhog day, either. That barn is just amazing--it looks so normal until you see the insane foundation...very cool.
Nice post..:)
Another excellent 55, and a cool pic, too.
And don't we all have a shadow being? Nice one. :)
Awww bless...Great pic and 55
You can just hear him complaining about the paparazzi can't you?
I'm up here.
n another 6 weeks of Winter may be coming...but we've had such a light dose of it so far...
Cute 55 n GroundHog-
Happy GroundHog Day!
He's saying, "Get that camera out of my face please."
He knows something we dont about the weather or about how cold it is or about how stupid we are to look for weather predictions from him...
They are cute aren't they! I guess we might actually have six weeks of winter here since he saw his shadow. We certainly haven't had any yet.
It has been so mild in our area I can't imagine having any winter weather now, but then who knows...
This is a great 55 and a great picture. They are cute critters, aren't they?
Silly woodchuck! (they are destructive-) yeah the dumbbell
saw a shadow...ran and hid. LOVE the photo of that Barn!!!!
:) you made me smile :)
"Phil Phailed"
__As always K. grand photos and verse!
__Your header; once I scribbled a haiku 'bout an abandoned -row plow-in a snowy field... with a crow perched on its guide handle. Is this that plow? ;<) _m
hey wow you're the king of the lab atta girl
And he wants to know what we're all looking at!
Those teeth look like they could do some damage! Cool photo and words.
Have a great weekend Talon!
How fun
My Dad's birthday was Ground Hogs day and he thought it was so silly!
But he liked the movie!
Nice to have a smile Thank you
awesome 55.
happy groundhog day.
LOL. I love when you write humor. I didn't expect this with the header picture, but what a delightful read on a Friday afternoon.
Have a good weekend, Talon.
LOL...he's so cute too. I heard he did see his shadow and we are due six more weeks of winter.
Still waiting for the first week here.
From the look on his face, I don't think he's a "morning" being:)
Where is his weatherman's blazer?
Merv didn't see his shadow but his galpal in training did, it's all a conspiracy, I think.
And it appears he knows not what to do, or maybe he does. Curiosity is a cute emotion.
Too cute, this fella! What a simply marvelous barn shot on your header.
I an with the ground hog, I can never remember!
But, I am pretty sure we will have more winter, even if this is southern Maine.
Like your Groundhog post as much as the film.
:-) :-) :-)
This is so lovely.
What was this year's result? More winter?
Up here it is real winter now, we get some extreme cold from Siberia which doesn't seem to want to leave anymore...
That's where the paparazzi get it from!
ha ha. I'm sure he dreads this day as much as some humans look forward to it.
It exhausts me wondering how you can ever get any more brilliant!
I always wonder what the groundhog is thinking. Now I know. :)
Of course he's looking at us looking at him. No one likes to be the centre of attention like that!
Una mezcla de ternura y de miedo!
Genial imagen, si señor!
Un placer volver por tu casa...
Un fuerte abrazo y feliz semana,
Db.
Hehehe. Love this!

Are there any records kept as to how many times Punxsutawney Phil peed on his handlers?
Ha ha. Animals never pretend when they're confused, or lost, or barely able to make sense of their surroundings. Wouldn't it be liberating if humans were more like animals in that regard.
